La Patrik Jansson Band nasce a Stoccolma sul finire del 2007. Dopo aver suonato la batteria in varie band blues, jazz e hard-rock per diversi anni, il leader Patrik, spinto da una grande passione per il blues texano, inizia a suonare la chitarra e a cantare, crescendo professionalmente come cantautore e musicista. La sua ricerca musicale lo porta a dare vita a uno stile che subisce la contaminazione delle sonorità di Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King, Johnny Winter e Buddy Guy: un blues melodico, un blues-rock in cui le influenze del suono di Chicago e del Texas si fondono con il soul più moderno. Ha inizio così l’avventura della Patrik Jansson Band, di cui nel 2019 entra a far parte il pianista Lars Ericsson, artista dall'ampio background jazz e blues: così, il suo contributo apporta al complesso un suono ancora più sofisticato. Attualmente, la band ha 4 dischi all’attivo e decine di tour europei. Dal cuore della Svezia, il contemporary blues e blues-rock dell’esplosivo complesso raggiunge il palco di piazza Garibaldi per galvanizzare il pubblico nella prima delle quattro entusiasmanti serate del Lecco Jazz Festival. 

The Patrik Jansson Band was born in Stockholm in 2007 from the great passion of the leader Patrik for the Texan blues. His music is inspired by the sounds of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King, Johnny Winter and Buddy Guy: a fusion of a melodic blues, a blues- rock, influenced by the Chicago and Texas sounds, with the most modern soul. In 2019, Lars Ericsson, a pianist with a broad jazz and blues background, joins the band, bringing an even more sophisticated sound to the band. From the heart of Sweden, the contemporary blues and blues-rock of the explosive ensemble reaches the stage in Piazza Garibaldi to galvanize the audience for the exciting first evening of Lecco Jazz Festival.
